HACA’s nonprofit Austin Pathways raised more than $37,000 during Amplify Austin Day March 2-3.
One hundred percent of the funds, generously donated by more than 190 individuals, community partners and local businesses, provide direct support for scholarship and self-sufficiency programs.
HACA and Austin Pathways have awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to public and affordable housing residents since 2001.
Matching funds were provided by Google Fiber, Dropbox and Ryan Companies.
Austin Pathways also provides services like childcare and transportation to help residents seek and maintain employment and ultimately be able to afford to move out of public housing.
