The Housing Authority of the City of Austin dedicates four of its 19 developments to housing the senior and disabled population. In addition to those four sites, all 19 of HACA's communities include senior citizens. Following are services we provide to our senior residents. Please contact a Family Self-Sufficiency specialist for more information.

Senior Services

Every year HACA sponsors a Senior Mayfest open to all senior residents. Businesses and organizations that cater to the elderly are invited to set up booths. The event is a fun mix of food, entertainment and information.

Health and Safety Fairs are sponsored by HACA at all sites but with special emphasis on the elderly and disabled. Similar to Senior Mayfest, the events bring together residents with community resources related to health and safety.

The Parks and Recreation Department Senior Support Services offers a senior nutrition program including on-site daily lunches.

Capital Metro provides bus runs to H-E-B.
